The Numbers are In

This is the new plan. It will take us a few days to implement it. I'm planning on Saturday.

Please have patience and we'll deliver.

What I'm About

Joe Zeigler writes Burnt Ground. He is 80. He spent decades building software companies and watching how power works from the inside. Now he writes about how it breaks us.

This is not self-help. No one here will hand you 10 ways to be more productive. Burnt Ground is a record of a country coming apart, written by someone who has seen enough to stop pretending otherwise. War. Authoritarianism. A healthcare system that bills you for dying. The slow theft that arrives wearing the language of policy. PrumpTutin. The lies corporations tell when the truth costs money.

If you want comfort, you have the wrong address. If you want the real story, the one that burns going down, you are home.

Rachael

Rachael writes for Burnt Ground. She works close to the ground; through the people a thing happens to rather than the systems behind it. Quiet on the surface, exact underneath. She names the person standing inside the machine and sets the hurt down a generation back, so you walk up on it yourself.

Read her when the larger picture stops meaning anything and you need it to come down to a single face.
